I have had my AmEx BCP since the 17th of Nov, 2013. This Friday will be my 61 days, (So said the rep from AmEx). Should I get rid of my balance of $236 before requesting? I have a CL of $6,000.
Basically, is it bad to have a balance before asking for an increase? And by having a balance I mean just on this one card (the AmEx BCP). Also, what are the odds of getting it increased to $18,000? It just seems to good to be true.
Amex BCP: $6,000/ Wells Fargo: $5,000/ Chase Sapphire: $7,500
The bad is that I have a balance of $5,024 on my Chase. Everything else is okay. I had unforeseen problems that had to be taken care of. So, I would like to than transfer the debt from Chase to the AmEx to keep the Utilization down below 30%
Other then that I have never been late or anything. Plus no debt on any other card, minus the AmEx BCP which is the $236.
Getting this CLI is what I need. I desperately need it because my utilization would then be at 28% as apposed to I think 68% with Chase. So how am I looking?
