I know you've got them backdated and they're not necessarily "new" but I just wonder if you waited year or two to ask for a CLI if maybe that would help.

Who could possibly know? Maybe, maybe not.

I just prefer to give the swipes to lenders I'm in good standing with. If that makes me a credit terrorist or just a big a-hole, so be it. I think some folks on here should take some Prozac or at least smoke a big joint, get laid, and chill. I'm getting tired of this nonsense.

If people don't like what I do, it's really not my issue - it's theirs. I won't make it my issue.

As a footnote, they are already closed. I was able to do it by phone pretty quickly didn't even have to speak with a rep.

I don't get people being bitter because I close a couple of cards I have no personal use for. But, I'm going to have a great night and not worry about it. Hope you guys do too.

I guess if I decide to close my CSP I won't post it I'll just do it and remove it from my sig to avoid the nasty remarks. I still don't know, if it wasn't an AF I'd be more likely to leave it open, but as it is, it's probably not overall worth it to me. Same as the revolvers. And yeah I could PC to Freedom, true enough, but again since it will never grow, I'm not seeing the point of putting spend on it. Just MY opinion. It's my credit and my life. Sorry you are so bitter and hateful about what I do with it. It's kind of bizarre anyone even REALLY cares.

If that makes me an entitled unreasonable jerk, then that's what it makes me but that's where it stands.

Yup, I closed mine in early 1990's for the same reason and also because they suck!

Honestly, when I go to this website, the first thing I look for is whether or not Member has posted anything. The threads he starts are usually the ones which get the most posts. You don't have to like Member or agree with what he says, but he deserves respect as someone who does keep the conversation going on this forum.

I just put my first user from this site on ignore. Life is just too short and sweet to deal with these sort of people on your own time.

I'm just going to post as usual and run my life and my credit the way I see fit to. If anyone doesn't like that, well I'm sorry, but please get help for YOUR problem. If you are bitter and angry that I'm closing a couple of cards, you have issues none of us can help you with. I do respect the right to disagree, and points can be made that maybe I shouldn't close them, but when it's that intense for you, that's a bit more than "normal".

Enough said on the subject.

Sorry if i offended anyone (i.e Member) wasn't trying to be rude or anything but if I am the person who you blocked you won't see this anyways. I just found it weird that this conversation is always brought up. You give very sound advice and I am pretty sure that everyone on this forum appreciates it, I know I do. Reading your advice and then your own personal posts don't always match up because I think you sometimes mention not closing cards that don't cost you anything so you can build up your credit but then you go ahead and close things like the IT or your Amex revolvers instead of leaving them in your sock drawer while you "garden".
