Applying for second card as existing member gives error

Postby skyler » Sat Dec 21, 2013 1:28 am

Hi, I'm trying to apply for a second AmEx card (I have a PRG, and am applying for the SPG), and when I click on apply it asks me to log in or provide the details on my card. When I log in, I get the error message "There is insufficient information associated with your Login ID to complete this application. Please click on OK to continue the application process."

When I click OK, I get a page that says "We apologize that the offer you are looking for may no longer be available. Click here to learn more and apply for the current offer."
The link there redirects me to the page I started from originally.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix it, or should I just wait?
Thanks!

No, don't contact Amex. Existing Amex members aren't eligible for the big SPG signup bonus.

Open the SPG signup page in an incognito window and apply as if you were not a current member. Fill in the application manually, without signing in. You won't have any errors.

Skyler,

Please contact us on 877-621-2639 and we will be able to assist you. As long as you haven't had the SPG card in the past year, you would be eligible for the welcome offer.

Thought it was only existing SPG holders. Other AmEx holders can qualify.
