OK Member, suppose I'm just to chicken little to do that, do you think it will stay "In Progress" forever?! Just trying to gauge my options here

Mine apparently would have. If it goes for more than a few days or a week there is likely a problem. I called after 10 days of "in progress" and from what I gathered when they apologized for what happened there had been some issue.

It can't hurt a thing except your pride to call, but try to engage them and if they decline you get their opinion on what you can work on to get approved. I don't want you to get wounded that way, but you can have an Amex card someday and hopefully that day is today if you call them :)

I don't know about AMEX, but Barclaycard is definitely impossible to recon if they've already made up their minds.
Merrick Bank (Hooters) 4100
Cap One Quicksilver 2800
Discover it 2500
Citi Forward 5400
Chase Freedom 1000
AMEX Blue Cash Everyday 5500
Citi Dividend 5600
Cap One Visa Platinum 750 (CLOSED)

Really I recon'd with Barclay early last year to get their Apple Financing Visa after they declined me, and I got the card so that's news to me.
