I loaded this one up to mine. I'm sure I'll definitely find use for it by the end of the year. My favorite offer that I've been taking advantage of is one BP that I found on foursquare. $5 off all of my gas purchases if over $25 (which is easy since I drive a truck) until the end of the year. I've saved $30 already! Love these offers!
My Cards:

American Express Platinum NPSL (10/13)

Was posting about this on the other thread earlier. I also signed up for the BP rewards card right at the pump, using my phone, so I earned .10 off/gallon and $5 off my purchase. Filled up the tank for $40 bucks. Not bad.

You should fill up $25 at a time. Get $5 for each one. Sure you might have to spend an extra 5 - 10 mins at the pump doing multiple card swipes, an extra $10 or more is worth it!

That's an excellent idea, can't believe I never thought of that. I will definitely be doing that until the end of the year. Thanks!

I finally bought a $75 Amazon gift card and recv'd a $25 statement credit two days later.

What is anyone's take on the West Elm spend $150, get $30 deal? Has anyone tried it?

"Valid in-store & on westelm.com. If you order an item during the offer period but it's not sent to you until after 12/31, it may not count towards determining whether your purch qualifies for the offer. Excludes subbrands such as Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn & e-gift cards that are sent directly to recipient's email. Enrollment for the offer is limited. Limit 1 statement credit per American Express Card across all American Express offer channels."

My interpretation: I can't buy an electronic gift card, like with Amazon. I must buy a physical gift card instead. If I try to buy online, my purchase may not post to my account until after 12/31 (the expiration date).

Do you think purchasing online on 12/31 would still be okay, or is it best to go to a physical store and buy a gift card there, instead?

The BP one was the best one--I saved like $50 on gas with it.

Just went ahead and bought a physical gift card from West Elm. Immediately received an email from AMEX, so the $30 should be acknowledged and ready for statement credit in a few days.

A gift card won't be returned, so it's nice to go that route.

I'm also a grad student, so I signed up for West Elm's student circle, which gives me an additional 10% off all future orders (but not the purchase of the gift card itself, which is fine).

The gift card is nice in that it can be used at West Elm or its affiliates Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn, as well.

Buying that physical West Elm gift card on the last day of the offer worked.

The cashback offer from AMEX appeared on my card the next day.

$30 (West Elm) + $25 (Amazon) + $100 (spending $1K in first 3 months) = $155 from AMEX in one week.

Not a bad haul.

Not bad at all. If you think about it, those offers really kind of make up for what otherwise are kind of lackluster rewards compared to other lenders. (I know Amex offers more "perks" but just in terms of rewards they aren't really outstanding on the charge cards).

I've been putting most of my spend on the Barclay card I've more than met the spend for the 400 bonus already, now waiting for the Citi card to arrive to do the same with it.
