Despite all this, with the discontinuation of AA and US Airways lounge access, Amex is going to have to come up with a lot more than just Hilton Gold Status in 2014 to justify the continued $450 fee.

Perhaps making MR cashback redemption greater than $0.66 per point would be a nice way to start. Because honestly, a penny a point is the minimum industry standard these days. They just keep chipping and chipping away...

I am also at a loss as to why they are so much less than 1 penny as well.

Especially when their own no fee cards can go up to 3 cents or 6 cents with s fee. It would seem as though they want us to have more than one card.

I agree completely on both accounts. HH Gold is junk anyway and I only stay at a Hilton if I can't get into a Starwood or Marriott so it holds almost no value to me but I see no reason to let it go unused.

I ditched MR points when the Mall went away and now use my BCP and CSP for daily spending.
