Instantly Approved for BCE!

Postby Square Obsidian » Thu Oct 10, 2013 2:58 pm

I wasn't going app for the card, but a lot of people on another forum encouraged me to go ahead and app before my freedom would start reporting, so I went ahead and made the jump. Well, too my surprise I was instantly approved! I called the automated number and found out I was approved for $2,000. Not my highest, but it wasn't off by much.

I should recieve my card within the next 7-10 business days, so until then I guess I am just playing the waiting game. Really excited about joining the American Express family.

For the people who have American Express or even the BCE card, what's your favorite thing about it? ♥
Amex BCE $12,000 5/17
Chase Freedom $3,700 5/17
Discover it $1,250 5/17
CO QuickSilver $1,250 5/17

Congrats! My favorite thing about the blue cash is definitely the cash back! As far as AmEx goes, they have been great to do business with, and have been helpful every time I need to contact them.

My favorite thing is that they are generous with credit limits. Go for the full 3xCLI to $6,000 at 61 days.
Chase Freedom ($2.5K, 10/2009)
Discover it ($6K; 03/2011)
Amex BCE ($19.5K; 02/2013 - 2011 BD)

I've had the same card with the same limit for about a month and I love it. Unfortunately, I wish I would have gone for the BCP. The annual fee is so easy to pay for if you use the card for gas and groceries and I didn't do my due diligence before applying. It's just a great card all around. I smile when I see mine.

A question that may help me and the OP. I have the 15 month 0% on purchases and i'm carrying about $600.00 on the card. Should I apply for the 3x limit increase while carrying a balance? I know it's a SP and it won't matter but I just want to put myself in the best position to get it and hopefully this will help the OP as well
NFCU Visa Signature Flagship $8.5k
Home Depot Consumer Card $2.5k
PNC Bank Card(AU) $2.5k
AMEX BCE $2.5k
Discover IT $3.5k
Chase Slate $5.4k

Congratulations on your Blue Cash Everyday card! Just to let you know, if you ever do decide you want the Preferred card, you can upgrade at any time. We call it a "product change". Your annual fee will be prorated to your anniversary date. Hope this helps!

The BCE was my first Amex and I've already saved $50+ thru Amex's Offers (like $X back when you spend $Y at a store) in 9 months. That alone has been excellent.
