As it should be. I never understood why AmEx would provide Platinum Card members free airport lounge access to other lounges, yet not their own. Good to know though, thanks!

Is this lounge open to anyone willing to pay $50, or AmEx cardmembers only? Anyone know?

@nismoZtuner I'd say not yet.

If you're only going to Vegas then maybe no. Do you travel more than Vegas though? If you do may be worth upgrading to Platinum to get access to other lounges, airline credits.

I believe you have to have an AMEX card to get in, even if you want to pay $50.

Only Amex card holders (including non centurion bank issued Amex like bofa Amex) can get in free or pay depending on the card. Others need to be invited guests if card allows.
Amex Centurion, Amex Platinum, Amex BCP 8k->24k (5/23/12), Amex TE 15k, Cap One 1.5% 15k->20k (8/7/13), CSP 25k, Chase Palladium 100k, Citibank AA 35k (AU), Firestone 1.8k->2.2k->2.4k (8/20/12), JFCU Jloc 30k, PenFed Plat Rewards 30k, SF Fire 30k, US Bank Cash+ 25k

Not sure on the math as PRG has better reward structure but no mr first (whatever that does). However, plat comes with $200 airline credit which is basically like cash if you travel as you can use $200 on gift card for airline of choice and buy ticket.
