Credit Report for Upgrading From Gold to PRG

Postby julian926 » Tue Oct 08, 2013 9:01 am

I'm thinking about upgrading from the Gold to the Gold Premier. Since the cards are no prelimit, the credit ceiling in a credit report is based on my history. This affects my credit utilization.

If I upgrade, would I lose my credit history. Over the years, I had a high balances and that helps with the credit utilization for credit score purposes.

Thanks,

Julian

As far as I can tell that's outdated information for FICO. Charge cards are not factored into revolving credit utilization. They do, however, affect scoring in other ways,
