Thinking of applying for the BC, think I will pass?

Postby Munkee915 » Mon Sep 23, 2013 11:28 pm

I'm taking over payments on my brothers motorcycle currently financed on his Yamaha credit card. I'm looking into opening a new card w/ a 0% balance xfer option and the Blue Cash intrigues me. I would need a limit of at least $2500 though.

I currently have 2 Visas (1 from each of my CU, $5K each), an MC (another CU, $3k), Walmart Discover ($1800), Lowe's ($3100), and a secured Cap1 MC ($200, starter card that I never closed out) and util is about 22%.

No collections or late payments, although I had an auto loan about 3 years ago that shows 3 30 day lates.

My main concern is that I have 6 hard inquiries and 3 new accounts right now because we recently refinanced our home and 2 vehicles in the last 3 months. I'm hoping that doesn't hurt too much.

Credit Karma and Walmart's free FICO pull both have me pegged around 700. What are my chances at getting approved w/ the limit I need?

My 2nd credit card after having a secure credit card for a year was the American express BCE. I was proved with a credit limit of $2,000

I would suggest you use " http://creditcardforum.com/offers/cardmatch.php " - that site will give your credit profile a soft pull but it will let you know what cards you have a chance with.

That's actually how I found this card. But from what I've read Amex is one of the hardest to get approved for and wasn't sure I would get the limit I needed.

Chances are 50/50, give it a shot. You already have the inquiries so it won't do much harm.
