Platinum Pay Over Time

Postby djrez4 » Thu Sep 12, 2013 4:25 pm

I received two copies of the exact same letter offering to let me pay large travel costs (over $100) over time at 18.74% interest. Amex says, if accepted, I can revolve up to $35,000.

How is $100 a large travel cost? And, why do I not get the 5,000 MR bonus offer to pay over time?

Shenanigans, I say.

I got 10K MR points to sign up for the pay over time, and they told me I'd have same revolving amount as you, 35K. I only did it for the points. Not going to use it. Call them and they'll likely offer you more points. How is $100 a large travel cost? No idea but I'm assuming they're just trying to make most travel eligible.
