What happened to existing Clear cardholders?

Postby thom02099 » Fri Aug 09, 2013 2:10 pm

As we all know, the Clear has been discontinued, or at the very least, not available any more. Anyone have any thoughts about what may happen with current Clear cardholders?

I know that we can continue to use the card. I also know that product change to another revolver is not currently an option, per a chat I had with an AMEX CSR recently. But...we also know that could change, not unlike the Zync. We were told early on that the Zync couldn't be product changed to another charge card when it was discontinued, but it now can. Anyone think that AMEX will allow a PC to another revolver sometime in the future?

That's odd; why won't they allow a PC to another revolver?

Clearly, the Clear was an unclear product.

Yup, definitely odd. The CSR didn't give a reason, simply stated it was not elligble for a PC to another revolver.

Clearly, the Clear was not marketed very clearly ! ! Hence it's demise.

I'm betting that they do with it like they did with the Zync, allow a PC in a few months to one of the other revolvers, or maybe even to one of the supposed new cards that they are rumoured to be developing. I've had my eye on a BCP for a while now...
