steps needed to obtain platinum for a business

Postby johnnysb » Tue Jul 16, 2013 6:36 pm

hello all, I am here because I need your help. I would like some advice on how to go about and obtain a Platinum card for my business.

a quick history of my credit. I am a business owner. in 2010 my business partner was forced out of our business after it was discovered he had embezzled business profits to fund his "addiction." I was left with a mountain of debt to deal with in order to save the business. It took 2 years, but fortunately I was able to pay off all the business debt. but my personal credit was ruined because I had max out my own personal credit cards to keep the business afloat. my creditors put a lien on me ( which was later paid)
now fast forward to the present, even with all my debts paid. my credit score with Equifax is 650, Experian 686 and Transunion 676. I have several late 30 days and 60 days on my report.

I want to try to obtain a business platinum card. my business spends about 200k a year on expenses. and I have no debt. what are my chances of getting a platinum card? what can I do to increase my chances? I know the best way is to continue to pay all my bills on time. but even then it will take another 2 years before my credit score is above 700 again.

If the lates have errors, dispute them. If not, you'll just have to wait. Your estimate of two years sounds about right.
