Upgraded my Green to Gold (Annual Fee Question)

Postby Kicker » Sat Jul 13, 2013 4:17 am

Hey all, I've had my Green Card for a year now and I upgraded to the Gold Card yesterday night. However, I have a 95 dollar annual fee for the Green Card, which started showing up this month. My Amex account still displays the 95 dollar fee. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do? will amex eventually replace that 95 dollar fee to 125 soon or something? I really don't want to end up paying for both if you know what I mean.

Thank you!
My Wallet:

Wells Fargo Visa - $1200 (Obtained 2011)
AMEX Green - NPSL (Obtained 2012)
Chase Freedom - $3000 (Obtained 2012)
Citi Diamond Preferred - $2000 (Obtained 2013)

They will only charge you the difference--you may have to call and remind them if that isn't reflected after your statement closes.

I just moved from Green to PRG in July one of the letters that came in the mail said my AF of $175.00 will bill on my August statement. So I would pay the 95 and like Rock said they will prorate the difference.
