Could this be done from a Green Card to any other card?? or would the changes be only valid with other charge cards? I am looking into getting a revolver as well and rather not have a hard pull on my credit report added.

I did this, but only because I wanted to switch my DL card to one with no annual fee. Applied & approved for DL SkyMiles card in July 2012. Met min spend for 30,000 DL miles & kept card. In November 2012 I wanted to switch to BCE mainly for no annual fee but also for Cash back. Called and got product change no problem.

Here's the sneaky part: after I PC'd the card, Delta still thought I had the SkyMiles card, so I still got the enhanced award availability and free checked bags up until I got my AMex Biz Gold SkyMiles card in April 2013...
