No, I average a bit over 10k/mo. but it is spikey. The 50k was really an anomaly but it kept me from having to wire money.

I also have never had an issue with my Plat being declined. I think you're just over-reacting, Mr. jcruz133. Just use your card and build a history with Amex on that card. Instead of booking a reservation on the first passenger flight to the moon right out of the gate, you may want to start off by perhaps booking a flight to Roswell, New Mexico for their annual alien festival. You then should be good to go. Chill, sir, just chill.
Cards:
American Express: Business Platinum-NPSL, Delta SkyMiles Gold-$2K
Chase: Sapphire Preferred-$5K, Southwest Airlines Visa-$3.7K, Freedom-$400
USAA: Platinum MC-$4K, Advantage Rate MC-$4K, Amex-$4K
FBNO: BucksBack Visa-$1K, Amex-$1.7K
GECRB: Walmart Discover-$3,7K
Barclays: Financing Visa-$3.2K, Juniper MC-$1.1K
Capital One: Platinum MC-$1.5K, Platinum MC-$750
CFNA: Firestone-$1.6K
CitiBank: Office Depot Business Card-$1K

Agree. Just live your life as you did before you got the card and you should have no issues. Charge a strange amount just to to test the card and u may get declined
