The impact on others isn't necessarily relevant to you. You can calculate your AAoA. AAoA isn't impacted until the account falls off.

I know. Some folks report that it falls off quickly. Others state that it shows up for a while.

I thought by law accts paid (in good standing) had to be on your file for 10 years. Accts not in good standing falls off in 7 years. That's at least what I read on EX and EQ's websites.

I closed 3 of them last year. My score took a pretty good hit losing 3 cards backdated to 1999 when I did it. (About 30 points).

It's one of my oldest cards. I'm going to have to hang onto it.

I'm waiting for my SPG to show on my CR so I can see what date it has. I am pretty sure I am going to close my Platinum before it renews in August. If my SPG isn't backdated I will probably PC my Plat to a Green or PRG so I don't lose the history.

It's been over a month now, how long does it usually take to appear on your report?

Seems to vary, honestly. My Gold reported after the first statment but that was about a month after I got it. The BCP has already had a statementcut but it isn't reporting yet. (The statement was almost 10 days ago now). So Amex seems to take a while.

I've been wanting to dump my PRG for months, but since I have a few new accounts, I want to keep it around while my newer accounts age a bit.

Why don't you PC it to a Green, save $80?
