Annual Fee Discrepancy During Upgrade

Postby Robrus1 » Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:47 pm

I upgraded to Platinum in March. My June statement became available today and the annual fee is on this month's statement. However, they only charged me $412.50 for my annual fee instead of the $450, additionally they only charged $15 for my AU's Gold card tied to my Platinum account, instead of the quoted $45. There's no explanation on my bill. I'm not complaining, I'm just curious if anyone else has any insight. I upgraded to Platinum about a year after I got a PRG and the first year of PRG was annual fee free, so I figured they'd hit me for the full annual fees, but for some reason they didn't.

Sounds like a pro-rated fee based on your PRG anniversary. I'll bet you you upgraded about 395 days after you activated your PRG.

+1

When I went from Green to Platinum it was a few months after my Green AF so they prorated my Platinum AF.
