Community @ Amex Forum

Postby Scoobynoodles » Wed Jun 12, 2013 10:02 am

So, me being late to the party as usual, just found out Amex has started a community forum for its users to share and talk pretty much everything to the brand. Has anyone else picked up on it? What do you all think?

I'm under the impression, that Amex wants to build a more social network with its members and additionally get a better viewpoint on how we view their service and products. Maybe even garner some new marketing ploys towards us. Who knows.

After going through my Amex emails, the invite was there and finally signed up. Seems pretty cool so far. Unbeknownst to me, there was chatter on the EMV Chip for Platinum card...I totally missed that thread on here! Either way, called CS and will be receiving mines this week. Can't wait.

You're welcome. I went over there and registered and looked through a few pages of archived threads. It made me appreciate this place even more than before for three reasons:

1) There's much more ego pushing going on over there.
2) There are people giving each other bad advice all over the place, and uninformed people acting like they know what they're talking about.
3) The mods see pretty much every post and they are pretty strict about keeping things very PC.

I'll go over there from time to time and post something, but this will still be my main place to hang out. I go by the name of "ronburgundy" over there.

I like this forum and don't plan to go elsewhere. There seems to be a high level of 'immaturity' in the other forums.

Thx for dropping in the link Robrus1...yeah, it seems pretty cheesy somewhat. They doll out awards, badges for people who post a lot to the forum and everyone is trying to show off.

I do appreciate this forum more so now. Get more meaningful advice from users here.
