How do I find out spending power on Amex?

Give it time. They usually send them USPS not UPS so I would check your mail. In my case they take 3 days from approval they are great about getting them to you. But you can call them and ask if it was sent.

That's a good point. I have never bought a car so never that about that. I would love to charge a car to a credit card, something I'll have to talk to a dealer with first.


A former boss did this. He was on a client site inspection tour, and his rental car broke down in the middle of nowhere Nebraska. He couldn't wait for it get fixed, so he bought a used car from the shop that towed the car in to 'town' on his corp card. Never did get a straight answer on what happened to the car at the end of the trip....
