Yeah I'm not too worried about that for a while. They expect you to ask for a 3X limit come 61 days. Still only 6k if approved, compared to my highest limits over twice that. It will be quite some time before I'm able to approach a level where I have to worry too much my high limit may concern them.

Does a CLI with Amex result in a hard inquiry?

When they credit your current balance with a positive dollar amount, which either reduces your current amount owed/due, or takes it into the positive (usually reflected as a negative number, since it's referring to "amount owed").

For the 60 day CLI, no. I don't know about after that. I believe they are softs. The 60 day is based on their most recent soft pull of you.

Congrats 99! I'm glad you went for it and it worked out. I want the BCE, as that is my last card left, but Amex won't approve me just yet. Congrats again and stop poking the bear..lol.
