They are back to softing me every day

Postby MemberSince99 » Thu May 30, 2013 1:24 pm

I just checked my report on experian and got to see the soft pulls, and since May 23, the day I got my Gold, Amex has been softing me every day. I mean every single day. There are entries for every single day from the 23rd through today, just like they were doing last year.

I know it's normal for them to soft you regularly but every day? That's a little too regular.

They clearly see me as a big risk, that's obvious to get soft pulled every day. Maybe that's what happens when you burn them they keep you on a VERY short leash? Which I could understand, but every day? How much does it really change? Even as often as I do stuff it gets pretty boring after a while.

I don't know what to make of it. I guess I'll just live life and again see what happens. It does make me feel though I'd best not get in too deep with them as they could pull the rug out any time. In other words, leaving my other credit options open is probably wise - it would be anyway but especially for me it would be a good idea.

Ok I was curious about this so I googled it, and I found that another person had this happen it said CIC by Amex, and that turned out to be Credit Secure monitoring which I've been using every day for the last week.

It's not Amex, per se, it's the monitoring which I'm running.

I just won the "Moron of the Year" award, first prize. I think I'll slink off now feeling incredibly dumb!

Well done!

CIC is the designation of Amex's monitoring service. Did you have CreditSecure last year as well?

I can imagine Amex frequently softing a borderline approval, but you ain't exactly borderline.
