Moving balance from Visa to Amex

Postby kbucksot » Wed May 29, 2013 12:15 pm

Hello CCF,

I am a new member and sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question.

Me and my wife are currently stuck with a high APR Visa through Bank of America. We are looking for other options to do a transfer to. We both have good credit but are trying to pay down a credit card that we paid for our wedding and some medical bills on.

We currently have $8,000 on the visa and the interest is killing us. We have not used the card for a while and only will use it for a small purchase once a month.

What we are looking for is clean slate so to speak. Looking to transfer the balance and get it paid down.

Thanks for any and all feedback with trying to get this taken care of.

I recommend you look at the Chase Slate card. 0% APR for 15 months with a 0% balance transfer fee (at the start).

Barclays also offers a lot of "cheap money". Every month I receive offers for 0% APR convenience checks for a year with 1% transfer fee.
American Express: MB Platinum Card, Business Platinum, Business Gold, SPG, Hilton Surpass
Chase: Ink Plus, Ink Bold, Sapphire Preferred, United Mileage Plus, Marriott Premier
Citi: Executive AA World Elite MasterCard, AA Visa Signature, AA Business MasterCard
Barclays: US Airways World Elite, Arrival Card
