I will keep it posted..yet to hear from AMEX. They just asked for the initial purchase date and validated it from my statements.
Did not ask for anything else and today the status says waiting for documentation. Not sure what exactly they want.

Amex give 12 months of additional warranty right..If you bought it 16 months back, I guess you are still in warranty for an other 2 months. ( 6 + 12 additional months = 18 Months)
