Which AMEX revolver?

Postby AMEXAT19 » Thu Apr 18, 2013 11:11 am

Think about applying for an AMEX revolver, not sure which I should apply for seeking other opinion:

I'm considering:
AMEX Blue or Blue Sky Preferred

But, my currently profile is:
BankAmericard Cash Reward Since 05/2010 $4000
Discover More Card Since 03/2011 $5000
AMEX Premier Rewards Gold Since 12/2011 NPSL (Highest spend $5478)

I love my BCP card. 6% cash back on groceries rocks. I even ran into another BCP holder ithe grocery line last month and we both had fun discussing the deal we were getting (up to a $6K spend a year).
American Express Platinum (NPSL)
Penfed Platinum Reward Visa ($28K)
Chase Freedom Visa ($25K)
Fidelity American Express ($20K)
American Express Blue Cash Preferred ($20K)
Bank of America Cash Rewards MasterCard ($20K)
Citi Thank You Preferred Visa ($9.5K)
Chase Sapphire Preferred ($7.5K)
US Bank Cash + Visa Signature ($7K)
Discover IT ($4K)

Seems like most of the love goes toward BCE or BCP (BCP only if you truly spend $6K in groceries), the SPG or the Costco card.

Guess it depends if you want max rewards on groceries/department stores, hotel/travel or gas/dining, respectively.
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard
HSBC Cash or Fly World Mastercard
USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

You have groceries, gas, and airfare covered with your present cards, plus Discover's rotating categories. Neither the Blue nor the Blue Sky add to your collection. I think the SPG is your best bet. Apply through an incognito window to get the full 25k bonus.
