Approved for Delta!

Postby Bobzig » Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:55 am

Haven't been on here for a long time, but am excited to announce an instant approval for gold delta! Don't know the limit however.. When I applied it said the systems were having difficulties, but I clicked the link to check the status and said Approved!

Amex seems to always never give instant approval unless you use the app checker.

Not really when I applied they told me I was instantly approved on the spot. I didn't know anything about this app checker thing until I joined the forum.

But congrats bobzig I've been looking at the Delta card myself.

Well I guess I consider it an "instant approval" because I found out in 10 seconds by clicking the link. When I applied for my Amex gold charge card it said i was approved right away. Anyway I just found out my limit which is $4700. Which brings me to a dilemma...

I have 2 lowly cards that I want to get rid of, but I don't know if I should close them, or when. One is a Cap One card 600 limit which has been that way forever. My longest account I've had it since my early 20s. Then other chase freedom which was a PC from slate. HIGH interest rate and 800 limit which was never increased. I want to keep my new delta Amex and my discover more 4k limit and am debating if I should close em or sock drawer them. They are my oldest accounts and are likely really helping my credit score.

Thoughts?
