Las Vegas McCarran Amex Centurion Lounge

Postby Socelli » Sun Mar 24, 2013 12:13 pm

Has anyone received an invite to the new American Express Centurion Lounge that recently opened up at McCarran in Las Vegas? I understand that Amex is not only sending out invites to current Centurion holders but is also targeting current Business Platinum card holders by sending them complementary Centurion lounge passes as well. They say the Vegas Centurion Lounge opened up on or about March 1, 2013. I think having a Centurion Lounge in Vegas is pretty sweet. Any of you guys received your invite yet? One other thing, is this Centurion Lounge a sign of dark clouds on the horizon for the Priority Pass member benefit? Something to think about guys.

I haven't received mine yet (had no idea it existed until I read the flyertalk thread). The concept is interesting but I wonder about paying an extra $50 a visit (even as a platinum) unless I specifically looking to get a meaningful bite to eat. One of the specific perks about going to the Delta Sky Club is having their agents rebook flights or check upgrade lists for you. I don't see that happening in the Centurion lounge unless maybe you booked the trip through Amex, which I don't when I'm on business.

And Delta is beginning to experiment with food in some locations (outside of the continental breakfast fair, chips and cookies they usually serve).

Any time.

I got an email giving me a notification for 5 uses till Dec 2013. Then a few weeks later I got the booklet with the card.

I don't be going to Vegas much this year so rather disappointing I won't be able to use the offer much.
