My credit card number was stolen by an Amazon affiliate, and my account is under high security watch by American Express Fraud department. All of my recorded IP addresses are stored under my profile and when a purchase from an unknown IP shows up it immediately flags the charge and an actual person reviews it to approve or deny. In my situation, the person at American Express texted my phone, emailed me and called me within 30 seconds of the attempted charge. Due to several hundreds of thousands of dollars that were attempted on my card they insisted I had a chip + PIN card and shipped it out overnight, I got it on a Saturday.
