Just an FYI if you are interested in the Blue Sky

There is a mailer app out for the BS (haha) that if you spend $500 in 3 months you get a whopping 30,000 points! Given that the BSP's welcome offer is 15,000 points after $1,000 in 3 months and the BS is 7,500 points after $1,000 in 3 months online, this is an awesome deal! I also read somewhere that if you call Amex (I don't know which # but since Amex cs is already helpful, I suggest just ask around?) and ask for a specific mail app offer, they will send you one. You have a better chance if you are already a cardmember.

I will do a little researching to find that #!

Dang!

I'm already thoroughly upset with myself- I applied for, and was approved for this card online w/ out any signup bonuses (there weren't any working links for the 7,500 pt deal the couple nights I tried applying, so I figured it was done for the time being). I knew I wanted the card anyway for the long-term.

I did however tried to "recon" my sign-up offer, stating websites had issues w/ the offer, but they suddenly came up and were available again after I had been approved. The rep mentioned he could grant me the offer still, AFTER approval, if I had a promo offer code (I assume mail, not online). I didn't have one though.

If anyone has any tips on my particular situation though, please feel free to chime in!

That 30,000 pt deal is nuts though! Wish I would've waited another few weeks!

Hey everyone!

Has anyone has ever had success calling Amex and asking for a specific mail app offer?

I spoke with 1 customer service rep and 2 "Apply by Phone" department reps to try to have them send me a particular offer (I didn't even state the specific details of this offer)... but I haven't had any success.

I'm an authorized user for a PRG card, and we've been Amex customers for 27 years with a good standing account. I'm interested in signing up for this card under my own name, and it'll be my first "standalone" card in my name.

Each of the representatives said that they don't have control over specific mail-in offer promotions. They said that the only way to get promotions was via signing up for the mail-in/email offers. Also, they can't guarantee that a specific offer will be sent.

Any advice on how to have Amex extend this offer to me?

Thanks for the help!
