Odds of getting approved?

Postby enhasa » Thu Feb 28, 2013 12:26 am

Hi, I am interested in applying for BCP, but I really want to know my odds before I make the plunge.

Help is appreciated!

My info:
746 CK, 712 (experian fico auto enhanced pulled 2/5)
5 inquiries (1 in may 2012, 4 on 2/5 for the auto loan)
Below 8% utilization once my banks report to CRAs
1 30-day late payment in July 2006 for 92 cents Macy's. This should fall off July 2013 right?
Cards I have: Wells Fargo Visa (10K CL), Chase Amazon (2k CL), Bloomingdales (2.1k CL), Macys (100 CL)
1 Auto Loan currently (10k owed, 58k paid as downpayment)
1 completed auto loan from 2006-2011 paid in full and closed.
80k annual income in the US. Should I include overseas income too?
Currently renting 1800/month, but also own properties out of state and overseas (if that helps).

Please advise :)
Help is greatly appreciated!!!

Your stats are pretty phenomenal. $58K paid as a downpayment on an autoloan?? Why didn't you just buy the darn thing straight out?

I think you're prime stuff for getting approved for a BCP. Will you be making a lot of grocery and department store (amazon.com included) purchases, though? Otherwise, check into the BCE.
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard
HSBC Cash or Fly World Mastercard
USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

i have no doubt in my mind that you will get approved. the most important things are your credit scores and income (minus rent). and you look like you are doing very well. i've seen applications far worse than yours getting that card.

they will probably give something like a 5k line. maybe a bit more.
Junk I use:
AmEx Platinum for Mercedes Benz from, 75k spending ability
AmEx Everyday 8.99% + Prime, 44k CL
Chase Ink Bold, 35k
Chase Freedom (Converted from WaMu VISA) from '07, 5.99% + Prime, 30k CL

Junk I don't use
BoA Susan G. Komen Cash Rewards (converted from World Points MC) from '07, 7.9% Fixed APR, 30k CL
Discover IT (Converted from Discover More) from '08, 5.74% + Prime, 20k CL
AmEx Clear from '07, 4.99% + Prime, 10k CL
All 3 credit scores are over 800.
