BCP Downgraded to BCE

Postby cashback » Wed Feb 27, 2013 9:01 pm

Well, I did it. Called Amex and downgraded with no fight from them. Didn't even ask if I was sure. I did get a prorated refund of my AF.

I currently have no use for the card since I get 5 TY points on grocery for one year. After the one year promo, I will probably use the Sallie Mae card and PenFed for my grocery expenses.

With the cap on BCP, it is just a 4.75% grocery card. Nothing special.

Yeah, for the longest time I was considering *upgrading* from the BCE to the BCP. But based on all my findings here, and breaking down my monthly expenses toward groceries (which mainly are at Costco -- so I put them on my Costco Business Amex) and department stores (mostly at amazon, where I use my amazon Visa), I couldn't justify springing the $75 for the BCP.

I wonder though, if it's really true that the BCE/BCP are the "hardest" Amex revolvers to get...?
