BCE called Optima in emails?

Was wondering if this was a glitch:

Just received my first Account Snapshop email and then I just paid my balance and received the email notification that it was received. (Approved for BCE last month)

Each time, the email states my activity on the "Optima" card.

"Here's a snapshot of your Optima® Credit Card account."
"We received an online payment for your Optima® Credit Card account."

Since the Optima card isn't available anymore, is this a glitch that they're calling my BCE card the Optima card in all their emails to me?

Sounds like a glitch. Just make sure the payment goes through correctly.

Your payment email notification should also have the last four digits of you BCE card number, if it posted to the correct account.

Hello Moxie,

I'm a new member to the site and received my BCP card from amex. I have the exact same issue you describe and it happened recently. The first statement paid returned an email confirmation that "We received an online payment for your Optima® Credit Card account."

I did contact amex support and they confirmed the glitch as mentioned in your post and said they would get on it. Yours is the only other instance I could find on the forums similar to mine which is even more bizarre.

Was your issue ultimately resolved?

Handle_free, sorry I didn't see your message. I had contacted their support and they said they would look into the issue. It's been a few weeks and they have not fixed the issue (still says Optima when I pay). However, it's not affecting anything from what I can tell so I've been too lazy to contact them about it. I'll give it a few months and find some time again to tell them about it since it's just a minor issue.
