Well my post wasnt all negative. I said how they checked my spending limit and it was approved for 5k. (which I like about them) but I havent had them long enough (since December) to brag about how good they are or how I love them.

Thought I'd pipe up and say I've had Amex for a year, charged almost 10k the first month, but usually only about 3k/mo. But there have been times I've charged well over 20k including once when I charged more than all my other CC CLs combined in one internet purchase. I did check spending limit first for that one. Never had any issues with Amex at all and I love the ability to manage spending for AUs and the breakout of AU spending.

Agreed. It's a bummer the CSP and IT cards don't easily breakout which AU swiped the card.

So just another update to this experience. Amex credited me the $3610.00 (which should have balanced my checking account to what it was before they took that) and then the next day they credited me an additional $3610.00! How long do you guys think it takes for them to realize they are missing over 3k and come take it back. I dont want to use my debit card until all this balances out because I dont want to go under the amount of whats mine and when they take their money back it will bounce my account once again.

Anyone have any knowledge on this? The way I see it on my statement was that Citibank credited me $3610.00 and then the next day Amex credited me for the same amount.

I have no idea, but I would call and make them aware of this so they would undo the credit on your account.

If they find out you've spent it, that could put you in an awkward situation with them.
