Applying for credit within the 61 day window.....

Postby Jslimm1985 » Tue Jan 22, 2013 8:23 pm

I got a "pre-approval" in the mail today from Discover. I'm really interested in adding the it card to my wallet but don't want to ruin my chances of getting a CLI. I have until Feb 28th to apply for the Discover and my CLI date with Amex is March 13th. Looking for a little guidance from the forum.

THANKS!

You'll constantly be getting "pre-approvals" from them in the future. The pre-approval letter doesnt guarrantee approval anyways. I would say to hold off and apply after your increase with Amex.

Yea. I'm all too familiar with it. Hence why I referred to it as "pre-approval" lol. You're probably right though. I may just hold off.
