Any members for 50 years?

Postby danpass » Wed Jan 16, 2013 3:59 pm

I wonder if some people have been Members for 50 years.

Think there will ever be a day where some have been Members for 75 years? 100?

<-- since '91

Haven't seen you in a while....

I am on my 14th year (Member Since 99). Seeing as how I was 20 when I became a member it is a possibility that if I live to age 70 I will be a Member for 50 years; age 95 for 75 years....provided no hiccups along the way.

75 years is a possibility if the person became a member young enough (age 18?) in life and makes it to old age (93?) without any bankruptcies etc.

100 years? Unlikely unless it is someone under age 100 who, with backdating to the original cardholder's MS year, has a MS year of 100 years.

Amex had a commercial in 2009 for their 50th year and the commercial profiled several Members from 1959-they were quite advanced in years.

This also takes into account that Amex exists in the future as well (stranger things have happened, PanAm, Washington Mutual etc).

Very random question....
