Approved for...Delta Gold!

Postby dlgoldamex » Mon Jan 14, 2013 10:25 pm

So I'm going to visit my friend in Spain this spring break, and I figured "hey, why not save $50 on my flight?" So, I applied for Delta's amex on their website. Instant approval with a $2k cl! Not bad considering my thin file, AAoA of 9 months and other credit card with $1k limit. I didn't even lie about my (abysmal) income! I guess I'm even more proof that Amex is lenient with approvals on this card.
Gold Delta Skymiles -AU- $25k- 4/12
Citi Forward Visa- $6.1k- 8/12
Amex Gold Delta Skymiles- $3.8k- 1/13
BofA Travel Rewards Visa Sig- $5k- 1/13
Amex Blue Cash Everyday- $5k- 7/13
Barclaycard Arrival WEMC- $5k-1/14
Cap One Quicksilver Visa Sig- $10k- 4/15

Congrats! I just also was approved for a Delta Gold Card from Amex :) This is my 1st Amex and I'm happy to add them to my wallet. Looking to be with them for a long time. They gave me a 2K limit and I'm more than happy with that (for now.)

I applied Thursday, said my decision needed further review, received an e-mail congratulating me to Amex. I called and my card will be mailed on the 22nd (takes longer than I thought it would.)

At the very least, you won't have to change your username on this site ;)

I got 35,000 miles. But, got an email from Delta in December advertising a 45,000 mileage bonus; I wish I had the guts to apply then.

I would actualy say the clear card is easier to get than a Delta gold card. it's not an executive looking card and it has no annual fee.

I hunt for miles/point offers. I don't sign up for a card unless it has a solid promotional offer.

Thanks for the kudos. My goal is $100,000 available credit with my low income of $30,000/year.
