Money card wrote:I would actualy say the clear card is easier to get than a Delta gold card. it's not an executive looking card and it has no annual fee.

i dont know of anyone who has that amex card so until i hear from them i will stick with commonly held belief. what does the look have to do with its exclusivity? btw they are more liking to give you a charge card than a revolver since they get money upfront

I was just approved for the Delta SkyMiles Gold card as well. I carry the Business Platinum and standard Gold in my wallet (don't ask me why I carry the standard gold card. It seemed like a good idea at the time) but this is my first revolver with Amex. I didn't think I was going to get it at first because it wasn't an instant approval. They said my application needed further review. A few day later I got the email telling me I was approved with a 2K limit. No AF for the first year. $95 per year there after. i don't know if the 3X CLI applies to the the Delta SkyMiles Gold card but I'm happy for the initial 2K limit. I see on other post that the 2K limit it pretty much the norm.
American Express: Business Platinum-NPSL, Delta SkyMiles Gold-$2K
Chase: Sapphire Preferred-$5K, Southwest Airlines Visa-$3.7K, Freedom-$400
USAA: Platinum MC-$4K, Advantage Rate MC-$4K, Amex-$4K
FBNO: BucksBack Visa-$1K, Amex-$1.7K
GECRB: Walmart Discover-$3,7K
Barclays: Financing Visa-$3.2K, Juniper MC-$1.1K
Capital One: Platinum MC-$1.5K, Platinum MC-$750
CFNA: Firestone-$1.6K
CitiBank: Office Depot Business Card-$1K
