BCE Approved!

Postby Freedomtodiscover » Fri Jan 04, 2013 3:34 pm

Just got approved for BCE.

Freedom - $5000
Zync - NPSL
Discover - $1500
BCE - Unknown for now

I was going to call Discover next month since it will be 6 months see if they will issue me a CLI to get it somewhere closer to the Freedom card take whatever they give me with a soft inquiry. Think this approval will ruin those chances?

HSBC Premier - $32K
Amex BCE - $10.5K
Amex ZYNC - NPSL
Chase Freedom - $5K
Discover IT - $3K
EX Fico- 780[/size]

First and Foremost congrats on your new BCE. I was approved for mine 2 days ago. As for the Chase Freedom, I honestly don't think it will ruin your CLI chances. Although, I personally would use the BCE responsibly for a few months first before asking for the CLI on the Freedom. I think it will serve as favorable if Chase decides to match/exceed your highest credit limit. Which at that time SHOULD be your BCE depending on your initial CL and if you utilize/get approved for the CLI that is available 61 days after activation.

I don't personally hold a Chase (yet) so I can't speak entirely from experience. Hopefully more seasoned members can answer your question.

I use all my cards responsibly and my scores are somewhere in the 720's or 730's last fico I pulled with two hard inquires to fall off this month. However sorry if I made it confusing was whether or not discover would match the chase freedom limit. I know they can sometimes be difficult and wasn't sure if they would use this as an excuse to not give me one.

Now that question I'm not too sure of. I haven't dealt with either company.
