Dumped Crap One

Postby MB131174 » Mon Oct 29, 2012 12:32 pm

Since getting my first AmEx (Zync) approximately two years ago, I have found myself drifting to the point where I'm using AmEx as much as possible. I closed my Zync upon receipt of my PRG card in March 2012. Also added a business Gold and the Gold Delta (personal), and am now awaiting my BCE (personal) to arrive in the mail. The Crap One (Capital One) cards were never getting used and had laughable limits. Felt great to dump them totally in favour of my AmEx cards. (Here's looking at you, autopay for Penelec and Atlantic Broadband!! :mad :) Keeping my BOA Visa for those places. AmEx > Others

I also just closed my account with Capital One. Very low limit card that was not benefiting me anymore, so it was the right choice. Before closing the account a few weeks ago I applied for BCP and was approved right away. I'm good where I stand now with AmEx Green, BCP, and Chase Freedom. Enjoy your new BCE! Will you be using your BCE for only it's cash back categories or everyday card?

I'm not sure which card will be my every day card, the BCE, or the Delta. I think I'm going to be canceling the PRG before the annual fee hits. I really can't justify the $175 per year as I do not spend a whole lot on gas & groceries. The 3x on airfare is nice, but I'm not traveling heavily. I may use the Delta card more for the miles vs the cash back as the miles seem to accrue faster than enough cash back to pay for a ticket.
