"Criterion" for BCE/BCP

Postby Jslimm1985 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:37 am

Hello all!

Been thinking about expanding my loyalty to the AMEX brand and getting a revolver. On top of my gold card. It seems that the BCE/ BCP is the choice of many in the forum. Can anyone loosely detail certain criterion AMEX looks for when deciding a new applicants fate in dealing with the BCE/BCP?

Thanks a million in advance

Sounds great. Have you thought about asking for a CLI on your BCE? or are you just waiting it out? Most people I see have a pretty generous CL on the blue and I think that's what intruigues me the most. I want to use that card in place of all my other cards.

Thank you very much.

well i just got it last week, 2k isnt bad for me either. I wouldnt want to add another Hard pull so i will wait the 61 days after activation to ask for a CLI for just a soft pull thru customer service. You can ask for up to 3X your current CL so i will just wait it out.

criteria would be your income. it has to be over 15,000 don't know what total income has to be in todays time period, it might be
20,000 it still might be 15,000. credit score and that you have a couple of major credit cards like Discover or chase ect..

yea, I remember reading that somewhere about asking for 3x the CL after 61 days. Not bad at all. I've always loved how Amex can do a soft pull and not be a detriment to your FICO/Plus scores.
