AMX EMV chip

Postby m20e3087 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:12 am

As per my Fico forum, AMX is now offering EMV chip. Some already have their on order. I called this morning for my PRG, but had no luck. Will keep trying. Is anyone in this forum aware of this?

Just called. They said no EMV cards until early next year. She knew what I was talking about though. What it did sound like is that they added RFID to more cards. If anyone has luck, let me know.

Someone posted that it is currently only available on Centurian and Platinum. Others have claimed success but it is likely that they will be sent an RFID Express Pay chip and not the EMV chip that they want.

So far, BofA is the only bank that has come close to doing it right; the reps know what you are talking about; it is easy to request one on an existing account or on a new application. BofA would be perfect if they offered Chip + PIN.......

Sorry to resurrect, but does anyone know what AmEx cards have EVM?

I have a Delta Reserve and Zync, but what about the others charge cards (Green, Gold, etc.)? Does anyone have a Zync with one?
Looking to maximize credit, for myself and others.

I have a centurion card and don't have a chip on my card. It was issued new in april this year. Maybe I should call and get a new one sent.

Just got off the phone now and should have my EMV card Monday. About time. Too bad it's chip and signature instead of pin though.

Indeed in countries like the UK, it won't make any difference, so simple to swipe the card through lol
Amex UK Platinum Charge Card
Amex Blue Cash USA
Amex US Gold Corporate Card
World MasterCard Capital One UK (Free abroad + Cashback + Free Cash Withdrawals with no interest)
