Upgrading to Platinum from PGR

Postby robbrock11 » Mon Oct 15, 2012 9:51 pm

Hi guys long time reader first time posting question I have a PGR and I am looking to upgrade to platinum, only thing is I have a balance on my card i am waiting to get paid from my employer will it carry over to the platinum or is it considered another account if I am approved?

Also I was just charged for the yearly fee will they consider refunding the fee since I am upgrading?

I hope they aren't dumb questions. Thank you

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to upgrade to Platinum?

They will not refund the AF, if you upgrade...they will credit it towards the platinums annual fee. Not sure about the balance though...I wasnt aware you could hold a balance with your PRG...unless youre doing the "pay over time" feature...which ive never used so others will have to chime in on that.

I've heard that If you "pay over time" it will change your card from open to revolving and your credit report. Is that true?

Just like with your cell phone, before you can upgrade you have to have a zero balance and be in good standing.

It probably is but the 1 thing you have to rember is that your monthly bill has to be over 100.00 what would happen if at certain times of the year a card members bill is 75.00 , 135.00 , 82.65 ect it changes sometimes there bill is over 100 and other times it's under 100
how then would there credit report read open or revolving?
