Need help from a kind current Platinum holder: Zihuatanejo

Postby Mindcandy » Wed Oct 10, 2012 2:41 pm

Hello

My family is planning to go to Zihuatanejo in Ixtapa Mexico over thanksgiving (Nov 22-29). I've read about the Amex Platinum card and it looks like they have good rewards if you use them to book travel. I'm thinking that if they have a vacancy at a resort in Zihuatanejo it would be a good time for me to sign up and pay the $450 since I can make it up in the resort fees/benefits. However their website at http://www.americanexpressfhr.com does not let me see any availability unless I'm a member already.

Could someone who has an Amex Platinum please check if there is availability through that site? If there is I'll be applying for the Amex Platinum right away.

thanks in advance!

I'm sorry, did I commit a faux pas for this forum, or are you just being sarcastic? Just asking for some help to make a decision, why is that so bad? Apologies if I offended forum sensibilities.

I clicked it...you pussies.

It redirects to https://www.americanexpressfhr.com/ssl/travel/gateway.rvlx?action_route=1:HOTEL:0:START::SWF&sso_return=1&stk=null&tpg=null&isplat=null&iscent=null&region=null

If you google Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts, you'll see it's the official website.

Also, Shawshank fan, OP?

My posts aren't showing up, I guess I'm in virtual jail until my guilt is disproved :) Here's proof that the link is valid:

Go the american express home page (which I'm scared to link in case I get yelled at again), click on travel, and then "fine hotels and resorts", it will take you to the same link I posted.

I'm not a hacker, scammer, general no-good (well, maybe that last one :) ).
