so yesterday i finally called and they said they would overnight me a replacement card to arrive today before 12 pm. I got it around 10:30 and about two hours later when the mail came so did the original one i had applied for. It took a total of 19 days, from when i put in my application till i received my card. a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

I got the Amex Delta SkyMiles card I just applied for within five days of applying by phone. Rory, your card probably got "lost" in the mail. This seems to be happening more to a lot of people, myself included. The postal service is in decline, imo.
American Express: Blue Cash Preferred (groceries, 6%; gas, department store, 3%); Gold Delta SkyMiles (Delta Air Lines, 2 miles/dollar, free checked bag).
US Bank: Cash+ (utilities, phone, internet, restaurant, 5%; drugstores, 2%).
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

Just happened here with a Chase card. I gave it two weeks to show up. I called in and they're sending a new one.

I've had a pretty good record with the USPS, but past performance is not a guarantee of future results, as they say.

I spoke to AMEX yesterday regarding my SPG card, as the three AMEX cards I have/had haven't taken longer than a week to arrive. The rep told me they are still in process of making the card and should ready to mail to me by Monday-Tuesday. Kind of odd as I applied for this card on the 3rd and received an instant approval.

I applied and was approved for the BCE on Nov. 22nd and still no card. I received the approval letter by mail last Monday and it said my new card should arrive within 2-3 business days. I'd really like to use this card ASAP for groceries and gas...I'm going to give it a few more business days. Citi and Discover delivered the cards to me via snail mail less than a week after approval, so....

When I got approved for my Discover and Citi cards, I applied on a Saturday and got them the following monday (not 2 days after, a week after) and when I applied for my Amex, they for some reason expedited my card for me, and since It was also on a Saturday (when I applied), I ended up getting it last Tuesday, it came in a UPS package with the letter and card inside. I'm surprised they take that long to get the card, maybe it depends where you live?

I don't live in the middle of nowhere, I live in a big city. I know I'm being impatient though, it'll probably arrive tomorrow or something.
