I check AMEX application status but no answer is available?

Hello everyone,

I applied for the Premier Rewards Gold Card from American Express. I went to the online application status website and saw I was denied for the card however there is a second entry that says approved but under "card" is a blank section. The only other thing it says is that I will receive my new card within 7-10 business days.

When I try viewing the full details of the decision it I get an error saying your application cannot be accessed at this time try again later and when I call it says the system is currently unavailable and I should call back later.

Has anybody had this problem? Could it be I was denied for the Gold Card but approved for another card?

I called customer service when I upgraded so I didnt run into anything like this. I would simply call amex and see whats going on. The CSR will be able to tell you the status better than the site.

Sometime site gives you error, its best to call to get the status.

Another vote to call. I couldn't see my Costco status on the website, so I thought my app hadn't gone through and applied again. And again. A quick call would have saved the hassle.
