Applied for BC Everyday - got this message, any suggestions?

Is there anything I can do, like call someone to talk about my application.
Usually what does the message mean? The message I got after I hit submit for Blue Cash Everyday is:

It means it needs to be reviewed by a human credit analyst who will decide whether you get the card or not. With Amex it won't do you any good to call before they decide 99% of the time. And if they decline you the ONLY way I understand they will recon is if there is inaccurate info in your credit report also 99% of the time (YMMV and there are exceptions to nearly every rule).

So just sit back and they will let you know the outcome.

you could always check the status of your application by calling in or checking online to see sooner if you've been approved or denied. would allow you to recon sooner instead of waiting for your paperwork to come in the mail

Just wait and hope for the best. I got the same message when I applied for the BCE and got approved two days later. Don't call unless they deny you.

Main Card: Amex Platinum
For gas: Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards
For travel & dining: Chase Sapphire Preferred

Ok, got an email just now, saying that the application was declined. The reason for decline must be in the letter that was mailed to me.
Then I called them, and got a hold of a CSR with spanish accent. She could not tell me the reason for decline as well.

So, the only thing she could do is send the application for further review. Looks like, its not my day today.

Send in a letter.

I received an instant decline on a gold card last week. I faxed a letter to their "Media Department" (801-945-2884) and, this week, received approval not only for that, but for the Costco True Earnings card as well.

like you said, I have faxed them a letter. I guess, my lights of hope are very very low though.
