Like others have stated, AMEX's customer service is awesome. One time I was late with a payment by 1 day, due to a mistake that I had made online, and they quickly resolved it even though it was my fault. In 5 minutes I had everything fixed! On another note, keep in mind that acceptance also should matter. if you frequent, small restaurants, cafe's, boutiques, and shops... most of these places do not take American Express. I mean In-N-Out doesn't take it either. But I guess it's safe to assume that most people have either a MC or VISA card, so it shouldn't be a problem.
