Last night I bought a pair of oxfords from the mall, left them in my car, then went out to dinner. Either I forgot to lock my car or someone broke in without damaging anything, but when I came out from dinner my shoes were gone, along with the money I had in my car (a few dollars for toll and parking), and a little crystal toy/model car of my car that I keep in the ashtray...
Called Amex CS and CSR transferred me to the buyers protection line. The lady on the phone was very helpful. She informed me how Amex can/cannot help with my situation, what I can reasonably expect, what I should do, comforted me and asked me if I was in a safe place or if I felt I was followed and needed her to call the police.
All in all a great support team from Amex given a bad night I had. I will keep you guys posted on Amex's decision.
