Can you transfer points from Gold to Platinum?

Postby m20e3087 » Fri Jul 06, 2012 9:47 am

My mom just got approved for the Platinum. Which will have 3 authorized user, including my self. $156 per year per person, it's the best deal ever. Yes she does travel, mostly international. She does have back problem, so the lounge would be a +. And I know my self I will be using all the benefits as I possibly can. (Applied for one my self today but was turned down)

She got gold card last year, and wants to how to transfer her points from GOLD to PLAT? Can it be done online? If yes how? She will cancel the gold in few months.

The points merge together. Activate the platinum card with the same username she uses for the gold. They will get upgraded to the membership rewards first points and they all pool together.

Actually that applies to the personal card as well. I went back on the amex site and verified it. I must have been thinking about the PRG or something...
