I thought the priority pass was supposed to be good on all loungeslisted here:

(linked from amex website)
After you enroll, your membership in Priority Pass Select will provide you entry to over 600 international and domestic lounges in 100 countries, regardless of which carrier or class you are flying.

Seems like there are different levels for different 'access'

I guess the best bet then is to use the mobile app to be sure the lounges at the current airport are available with your select pass.

That's exactly what I do. Half the time priority pass select is accepted, but not ones issued by financial institutions, which is where my irritation comes in. Other lounges take the platinum as access, but only if you're flying that specific airline, which, usually I'm not. Mild irritation.

It's funny, how big a difference there is on Amex around the world.
In Denmark the gold card give you the Priority Pass VIP card (not the select one) for one. It gives you free insurance when you traveled anywhere in the world, and you don't even have to buy the trip with the card. The spending limit on the gold card is $20K.
Then Platinum card give you the Priority Pass VIP card as well, but you can bring a friend for free. It also give you travel insurance, car rental insurance etc. Spending limit for the Platinum is $50K.

Grupet... I guess Amex slides the benefits around based on how many card levels they offer in your country. I guess in NA as we have Cent cards, they put the 'highest' levels of perks on that and then water if down as you do down the product line.

Tell me more! So it is possible they don't let you in even if the app has it listed?
